Fraud Awareness
Password Reset encourages you to be proactive in protecting yourself against online fraud. Unfortunately, there are overseas companies appearing to be legitimate, but are hiding their true identities. Purchasing from these sellers can be very risky, and we urge caution when considering them. Below you will find some helpful information on learning the true identity of overseas websites and how to protect yourself.
Password Reset is NOT affiliated with RegNow, SWReg, Digital River, SpotMau, ProSoft, ClickBank or any other 3rd party billing company. We personally handle all sales and service and DO NOT outsource anything, especially our technical support. We constantly get requests for help from people who have purchased other products and then can't get any support from them when they need it. Purchase from other vendors at your own risk!
Remember, when selecting a password solution provider, you are giving them explicit access to your sensitive personal information, including your computer's hard drive and other financial data.
The best tool to help you identify the true identity of a website owner, or to at least determine if they are hiding something from you is by using a Whois search. The Whois data shows registrant information provided when the domain name was acquired. There is no need to hide this information unless you do not want the general public to know the true owner of the domain. If a website is using a DOMAIN PROXY for their registration info, rather than displaying their actual contact information, it is a good sign that you may want to use STRONG CAUTION when considering making any kind of purchase from them.
Most vendors who hide behind a Domain Proxy are located in HIGH RISK countries such as China and Russia to name a couple. You really want to stick with companies located in the USA, Canada, Australia and the UK and still be sure to research them as best you can.
Password Reset proudly displays all contact information. Below is an example of our Whois results showing some of the more important things to look for in a Whois search.
