Please contact us if you still need help changing your BIOS to boot from the CD or USB instead of the hard drive. If you provide us with the computer make and model number, we can research the required process needed for your system.
The screen-shots below is only an example of how your initial splash screen might look where it shows you which key to press in order to access the computers BIOS, most likely yours will look similar, but not exactly the same and may be located in a different area or corner of the screen.
Once you have accessed your computer BIOS, you will need to find the section that says "Boot Order" or "Boot Priority". There you will need to set it so the CD (DVD or optical drive) is set to boot prior to the hard drive. Without this being set correctly, your computer will never boot our software.
There are hundreds of different BIOS types and screen layouts, so there is no way for us to post instructions on how to change each one, you will need to find the correct location by observing your BIOS screen and figuring out where the section is for selecting the boot device. Like mentioned before, you are looking for something to do with Boot order or Boot Priority. Look for the word "Boot" for starters, and then go from there. The BIOS screen will give you some directions to the side of the screen on how to navigate the BIOS and make changes. It will also tell you how to save those changes so they take effect.
If you are unable to figure out how to change your BIOS, please let us know, we would be happy to research it for you and give you the proper instructions. Be sure to let us know your computers make and model number.
